Carrie Honaker from Hidden Valley High School in Roanoke, Virginia, Named 2013 High School Teacher of Excellence
Urbana, IL – Carrie Honaker from Hidden Valley High School in Roanoke, has received the 2013 High School Teacher of Excellence Award, given by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). Honaker is a member of the Virginia Association of Teachers of English and one of 16 high school teachers nationwide awarded this year.
Established in 2001 by the NCTE Secondary Section, this award recognizes and celebrates high school classroom teachers selected within each affiliate.
Carrie Honaker will be announced as a recipient of the 2013 High School Teacher of Excellence Award at the 2013 NCTE Annual Convention in Boston, MA, during the Secondary Section Luncheon on Saturday, November 23, 2013.
